St. Gabriel's, All
Hallows Ditchingham
St. Gabriel's is part of
the community of All Hallows Retreat Centres, consisting of St. Gabriel's,
which is the largest centre, St. Raphael's and St. Michael's. The Centres and
the Houses are situated in the beautiful 47 acres of All Hallows Convent, on
the outskirts of the village of Ditchingham near the historic town of Bungay.
St. Gabriel's
Caters for up to 130 people full board in various single, twin or family rooms,
making it ideal for church weekends. There are various sitting rooms, a
library, a crèche/playroom and a room with a stage, a prayer room and a
large chapel. A payphone is available for quests' use and a shop selling books,
cards and confectionery is regularly open. A video and TV and an OHP are
available if required.
St. Raphael's
St. Raphael's Centre is available for day groups of up to 40 who are happy
to bring their own lunches.
St. Michael's
Caters for up to 24 people full board in mainly single rooms, though 4
twin rooms are available. For day groups up to 35 can be catered for. There is
a chapel, several sitting rooms and a library. Cards and books are available to
purchase. A video is available for quests' use and there is a payphone on site.
Recreational
Activities
There are hard and grass tennis courts. There is a playing
field. In the Summer months an open air swimming pool is available. There are a
variety of animals and chickens, and a duck pond, which is home to a variety of
fowl. Each site has a non-smoking policy.
