A PERSONAL CONCLUDING NOTE:

In our consideration of the right to confidentiality, we should be honest with ourselves as to how we deal with the subject personally. Do we share or pass on gossip about others, and are we happy to read the newspapers that divulge secrets? The Bible has a name for divulgers; it calls them tale-bearers, and warns of the mischief and hurt that they cause.

Proverbs chapter 11, verse 13. "A tale-bearer revealeth secrets, but he that is of a faithful spirit concealeth the matter".

Proverbs chapter 18, verse 8. "The words of a tale-bearer are as wounds",
