Introduction...continuedOld Testament ProphecyIt is important to grasp that prophecy in the Old Testament is different from that in the New Testament. It should be remembered that New Testament prophecy is technically different from post-Pentecost prophecy, which is sometimes described as prophecy of today or Christian prophecy. So what is the difference between the two? William Kay makes the following points in his book "Prophecy" (2) "We need to first to remember that there is a vast theological difference between Old and New Testament prophecy or, more practically, between prophecy before and after the Day of Pentecost. Christ himself is of course the pivotal figure: he is at the end of the Old Testament and at the beginning of the New and the dispenser of the Spirit at Pentecost (Acts 2.33)."
