Welcome to the section on Worship, where you will find relevant information on the many different aspects of worship.
This website is part of Watton on the web please take your time and look at the rest of the content we have available.
One of the problems in writing a series of teachings on Worship, especially for the Internet, is that you have to write something that is not to long that in the end it gets boring and also that it does not take to long to download!
These series have been deliberately kept short to provide a taster of what's to come. We believe that the Lord has given us a vision for the Resource Centre, and a lot of people have given their time and energy in contributing material for the Centre, because they believed in the vision and wanted to walk in faith for that vision.
The worship section of the Resource Centre is a small part of that vision, and in a sense we are only paddling in the river, testing the water to find out what people want and need from it. And that is where our relationship with the Lord comes in, because without that relationship and without the hours of prayer seeking God for his will, none of this would have come about and you would not be reading this now.
Developing the Worship Well as we have now come to call it, comes from a on going relationship with the Lord, seeking him for the right material that will bless you and encourage you in your role as Worship Leaders.
God wants a relationship with you, and all through the Bible it tells of God's desire to have a relationship with mankind, and how he provided a way through Jesus Christ for that relationship to happen for eternity. Worship is a part of that relationship, as I heard someone once say, "it's neither music or song but it's the condition of the heart"
God has called us into a relationship with him, and where ever you are in that relationship continue to draw near to him, keep you focus on him, and he will certainly draw near to you. If you are a visitor to the Worship Well for the first time and are not a Christian, consider this! The whole bible tells the story of God's love and purposes for mankind, if you have questions I hope you will find the answers here at the Worship well, or in the Word of God.
I know and have heard of people becoming Christians by just reading the bible. It is there you will find out all about our relationship with the Lord.
John 3:16 "For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life."
