Mike Forrest is one of the elders of the New Life Fellowship at Rings End near March in Cambridgeshire. He is married to Carol and they have three children. Mike works at Wisbech Grammar school where he is Head of General Studies and also teaches Chemistry to 11-18 year olds; Carol is a child-minder.
Mike has been involved with music and worship in the Fellowship since it started in 1985. For some time he was the only musician but now there is a small worship team and, since the beginning of 1997, Mike has been responsible for the teaching within the Fellowship. He plays electric piano and clarinet, writes songs for use within the church and, as a member of the executive, he is also involved with planning and playing at regular Praise meetings and other events organised by Churches Together in March.
After becoming a Christian through the witness of friends while he was studying at Cambridge University, Mike moved to a teaching post in Newbury, Berkshire, where he attended a Pentecostal Church; it was here that he met and married Carol. They moved to Wisbech in July, 1985 and the New Life Fellowship began in the November of that year by meeting in their front room; the Fellowship, which is an independent Pentecostal Church, now owns and meets in the Chapel at Rings End.
Mike and Carol are also involved in Prison Ministry through Prison Fellowship England and Wales. They can be contacted on e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org
